Institutional Operations & Kiosk Protocols

Library Guidelines & Kiosk Standards

Guidelines and best practices for partner public libraries, school study centers, and librarians deploying OneOnOneAI tablet kiosks, provided by ParivartanX.

Effective: August 30, 2026
DPDP 2023 Shared-Device Safe

Core Institutional Commitments

1. Instant Zero-Friction QR Login

Students step up to any library tablet pod, scan their physical library QR pass, and begin their Socratic study session in under 30 seconds.

2. 5-Minute Inactivity Auto-Purge

To protect student privacy on shared library hardware, inactive sessions automatically log out and purge temporary chat caches after 5 minutes.

3. Silent Pod & Headphone Etiquette

Voice AI derivations and interactive step explanations must be used with personal headphones to preserve library quiet reading zones.

4. Physical In-Person Consent

Librarians act as trusted community facilitators, verifying student grade levels and parental consent documentation via the Librarian Console.

01.Tablet Kiosk Hardware & Environmental Setup

To ensure an optimal, distraction-free learning environment, partner libraries must configure terminals as follows:

Locked Kiosk Mode

Tablets should run the OneOnOneAI Kiosk Web App (`/auth/kiosk`) pinned in full-screen guided access mode to prevent web browsing distractions.

Sanitization & Physical Maintenance

Shared touchscreens and styluses should be sanitized at the beginning and end of each library operating day.

Network Bandwidth Allocation

Maintain minimum 2 Mbps dedicated downstream bandwidth per active tablet pod to support real-time LaTeX step rendering and voice streaming.

02.Student Etiquette & Fair Queue Management

Public library pods are community educational resources. Students agree to abide by the following rules:

  • Fair Usage Duration: During peak afternoon study hours (3:00 PM – 7:00 PM), continuous session duration is capped at 45 minutes if other students are waiting in queue.
  • Headphones Required: Audio output must be routed through wired or Bluetooth headphones. Built-in tablet speakers must remain muted.
  • Academic Focus: Terminals may not be used for social gaming, video entertainment, or non-educational browsing.
  • Explicit Logout: Always tap “End Session” upon completing study time so the pod is instantly available for the next learner.

03.Librarian Console Protocols (`/librarian`)

Designated library staff hold authorized access to the administrative console to support student success:

Real-Time Concept Heatmaps

Monitor aggregated, anonymized classroom concept gaps to identify which chapters (e.g. Rotational Dynamics, Thermodynamics) require supplementary reference books in the library.

DPDP In-Person Verification

Conduct physical identity and guardian consent verification for students who do not have personal smartphones for OTP validation.

Terminal Fleet Health

Check battery status, network latency, and active session counts across all library pods from a single dashboard.
